How to Install legit software package in Ubuntu 14.04 LTS (Trusty Tahr)

legit software package provides Git extension to assist in manipulating branches, you can install in your Ubuntu 14.04 LTS (Trusty Tahr) by running the commands given below on the terminal,

$ sudo apt-get update
$ sudo apt-get install legit

legit is installed in your system.

Make ensure the legit package were installed using the commands given below,

$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep legit *

You will get with legit package name, version, architecture and description in a table
